Supporting Modern Buildings with Improved Cobra Cyclone Dirt Separators
To meet the changing needs of modern buildings, SOCOTEC - formerly ESG - has recently completed a programme of upgrading and improving their Cobra Cyclone dirt separators.
Supplying high performance dirt separators to the Building Services industry, and the new generation of high rise buildings, SOCOTEC has improved the specification of the high pressure units, now capable of operating up to 25 bar. Usually, units are designed to operate up to 10 bar.
As part of the upgrade, the Cobra Cyclone units now include maintenance free thermal dispersion flow sensors for filtration flow monitoring and bag-full alarm sensing with full BMS monitoring and pump protection. With these improvements, SOCOTEC is supporting all modern buildings to reduce chemical treatment and the associated costs as well as reduce levels of corrosion and erosion through the removal of suspended solids and silt. The units can provide a low-maintenance filtration method without the cleaning costs and down time associated with conventional filtration methods.
To assist designers in plant design and layout of new buildings, SOCOTEC can also provide REVIT CAD drawings as part of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) drawing package for the Cobra Cyclone units.
