About Panos Rousakis

Panos is a chartered civil and structural engineer with over 15 years of experience as a consulting engineer involved in the management, design and supervision of UK and international projects.

Panos has worked in a broad range of sectors including buildings, industrial, infrastructure, mixed-use commercial, water and telecommunications. Clients include contractors, local authorities, RNLI, architects, project managers and private clients.

Panos leads the structural engineering team at SOCOTEC and serves on the structural assessors panel of the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) in England, part of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Panos has been appointed as a technical expert four times and has produced and/or supported the production of expert reports along with structural investigations and technical compliance assessments on numerous claims relating to seismic design, alleged poor workmanship, defects in design and material specifications.

Panos’ expertise includes structural design relating to the use of all traditional construction materials (concrete, steel, timber, masonry), advanced structural analysis, buildability of structures and building safety. He has specialised expertise in seismic design of structures.

Panos is a member of Renowned British Professional Institutions such as Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). He holds Master's degrees in earthquake engineering, construction law, arbitration, and adjudication. He is a Senior Associate of the Academy of Experts and has attained the  Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence.
