About Eric Gourgon
Eric is an experienced geological engineer who has progressed into delay analysis over the past two years. He has assisted the appointed delay experts on multiple programming/delay disputes, including a light rail infrastructure project in Canada, gas pipelines and a research centre project in the Middle East.
His engineer experience spans the geotechnical, geo-environment and civil fields on rail, infrastructure and both large and small-scale commercial development projects. His projects have included conceptual, detailed design to construction and commissioning phases in the UK and Canada and a variety of major engineering project scopes for Network Rail, London Underground, Thames Tideway, Lower Churchill Project and several large-scale building projects.
Eric’s recent delay analysis experience includes working on several large gas pipeline development arbitration disputes. A large component of the delays involved unforeseen geological conditions. His geological engineering experience therefore added great value in determining the logic with the programmes and contemporaneous documents provided. This was essential in determining the critical path and causes of critical delay. He has great exposure working with a variety of experts providing advice on matters of delay and disruption, programme management and construction project management in construction and project management disputes globally.
