About Martyn Ellis
Martyn Ellis is a Business Unit Director who spent his early years career in the ground investigation industry before focussing on foundation and pile testing/monitoring, gaining experience throughout the UK and overseas. Martyn is a pioneer of pile testing techniques and credited with introducing new integrity methods to the UK piling industry and currently sits on the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) Technical committee. Martyn has co-authored published guidance papers and was a reviewer for the current ICE Specification for Piling and Embedded Retaining Walls (SPERW).

Martyn has been an Operations Director at SOCOTEC UK since 2009. Prior to 2009 current position, Martyn was a divisional Director. Martyn has previously worked for companies such as Wimpey Laboratories, Bachy Soletanche, Fugro and Precision Monitoring & Control.
