About Melody Wareing
Melody has over twenty years’ experience in site investigation and post site data processing and assessment.
Undertaking a wide range of projects in both public and private sectors including industrial, housing, office and supermarket developments, highways, railway embankments, bridges and pipelines and HS2 projects. She now provides support to the ground investigation division managing technical processes, standards and training.
She supports internal staff with attaining industry professional qualification.
Professional Experience
WITH THE COMPANY SINCE 2001 | OVER 23 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY
Melody has been at SOCOTEC UK (or previous iterations) in various roles since 2001. She started as a report technician within our cone penetration testing department, and a field technician in our land and marine surveys, before settling within the Ground Investigation division as an engineer. She moved from Assistant to Principal engineer between 2002 and 2019, becoming the deputy Technical Team Leader in 2022.
She now leads the Ground Investigation Technical Team, is the Chartership Officer and acts as a representative to the SOCOTEC Quality team. She is a member of the AGS Data Management Working Group and the AGS Piling subgroup and is actively working on the updates for AGS 5.
