Our team has nearly 10 years’ experience providing internal and external training, with a success rate exceeding 90%. This success is attributed to our tailored program designed to meet the individual needs of every client and candidate.

We can appoint an APC Counsellor and/or Supervisor to work individually with each candidate and provide pre-submission document review. Additionally, we offer further services such as development plan templates, mock interviews and, if necessary, contract administration training and CPD. You can combine any of our services to suit your needs and budget.

    Ross's APC Experience:

Ross Gould passed his APC in Autumn 2023 through our internal training programme. Below, he provides insight into the process and gives his three top tips for success.

“SOCOTEC’s document review process isn’t simply confined to checking for spelling and grammatical errors. The team dissects the content and relays their interpretations back to you to ensure the message is conveyed as intended, sufficiently demonstrating your experience and, most importantly, leading the reader to ask questions on topics you want to talk about. Without this level of feedback my journey would have been much more challenging.

At first, the process was unclear and overwhelming. The team’s understanding of every step of the APC and the requirements for each offered me a much-needed guiding light, enabling me to focus on my submission.

There was also a lot to gain from our regular Q&A sessions. They helped identify gaps in my knowledge, hone my interview technique and increase my confidence by normalising the interview format.”

    Ross’s three top tips:

    1. Make sacrifices. Whether it’s hobbies, socialising, or holidays, when it comes to the business end of the process, be willing to prioritise your studies.
    2. Form a study group to learn from each other, maintain motivation and make friends!
    3. Be honest about your knowledge and stay within your experience; the panel is trained in testing your limits, so resist the urge to give the impression you are the finished article.
