The London event will be held on 10 November 2016 at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) headquarters at Chadwick Court, while the Glasgow event will be held the following week on 16 November 2016 at the Riverside Museum.
The annual forum has been designed to focus on topics of interest to all those working in the rail sector, including those from train operating companies, track and infrastructure operators, rail contractors and facilities managers.
In line with the current ORR campaign, this year’s event will focus on topical health issues in the rail environment, including:
- An update on the ORR’s health and wellbeing work including case studies on HAVS and BDWG
- Occupational health and its place in supporting health and wellbeing programmes
- Substances hazardous to health – diesel, lead, respirable crystalline silica, asbestos, welding fumes, isocyanates
- Identifying and managing the risks posed by biological hazards – legionella, drinking waters, leptospirosis, CET and fatality cleaning
In addition to the seminar agenda, networking opportunities and lunch, delegates will have the opportunity to visit the London Transport Museum or the Glasgow Riverside Museum.
Places are limited and tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis. Please email forum@esg.co.uk to enquire.
