At SOCOTEC, our commitment to excellence extends beyond our professional services to include meaningful contributions to the communities we serve.
We are proud to showcase a recent initiative that demonstrates our dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility and local charitable support.
SOCOTEC's southern Ground Investigation (GI) team recently completed a pro bono project for the RSPCA Haseden Farm in Canterbury. The project involved a crucial ground investigation to assist in repairing a failing retaining structure at the animal rescue centre.
The scope of works included:
Conducting two dynamic windowless sampler boreholes, extending to depths of 5-6 meters
Two probe locations to 6m deep to assist interpretation of ground conditions
Providing comprehensive borehole logs and probing results
Liaising with Amey to facilitate geotechnical testing of the samples recovered during the works
This collaborative effort, undertaken in partnership with Amey, Walkers, and other parties, exemplifies SOCOTEC's commitment to leveraging our technical expertise for the benefit of charitable organisations. By supporting local charities like the RSPCA, we fulfil our pledge to invest back into the communities where we operate.
The Southern Region GI team, who conducted the work, went above and beyond their professional duties. In addition to their technical contributions, the team organised a collection and donated a hamper of goods to the rescue centre. These thoughtful gestures were warmly received by both the staff and the animals in their care.
SOCOTEC remains dedicated to making a positive impact in local communities. This project at the RSPCA Haseden Farm is just one example of how we're putting our values into action and using our expertise to support worthy causes.
We invite our clients, partners, and stakeholders to join us in celebrating these initiatives and to consider how we can collectively contribute to the well-being of our communities and the environment.
