    Project Overview

Construction of a new 12km coastal highway in Réunion, an oversea department of France located in the Indian Ocean.

Our client, Herbosch-Kiere was appointed to provide specialist marine services on this challenging engineering project which included stone dumping from the self-propelled marine working vessel 'Atlantis' under a BIMCO charter agreement.

    Our Services

Worked as part of Herbosch-Kiere's project team providing commercial services associated with the charter agreement. Pre-contract services included budgeting and charter amendment advice and post-contract commercial management services including:

    • Monthly budgeting reviews and assessing progress against tender
    • Payment applications and valuations
    • Assessment of daily vessel logs to ensure the correct charter rates were applied
    • Monthly cost and value reconciliations
    • Determining the final account with the client
    • Involvement in an insurance claim between the parties associated with grounding of the vessel
